Taylor Gill and Daniel Brkic were the highest placed crew in the FIA Rally Star Training Season finale in Germany.

Taylor Gill has ended the 2023 FIA Rally Star season on a high, finishing the ADMV Lausitz Rallye with a class podium and on top of the program’s six participants.
With the German rally serving as the final round of the six-event season, Gill and co-driver Daniel Brkic proved consistent across the eight-stage rally, as they finished more than a minute ahead of the next best crew in Jose Caparó and Guillermo Sierra Ovalle.
Not only were the Australians the highest ranked FIA Rally Star crew, but they also finished sixth overall – an impressive feat considering the 51 entrants.
Of the Rally Star crews, Gill and Brkic were the only ones to place within the outright top 10 in all eight stages, while also going no lower than fourth in class during any of the stages.
The Aussies were also the fastest of the six on three occasions.
Only Romet Jürgenson and Oja Siim placed higher than them throughout the day – with the Estonians going faster on the remaining five stages – their best result being second in class.
However, a poor second stage from Jürgenson saw him almost four minutes slower than Gill, which proved the difference in the end as three minutes separated the two at the end of the rally.

Gill will now head to Australia to take part in the Bosch Motorsport Australia Rally Championship’s season finale, the Subaru Canberra Rally of Canberra, on 17-19 November.
Formula 4 South East Asia Championship
Jack Beeton has enjoyed a strong weekend in the Formula 4 South East Asia Championship’s non championship round in Macau, finishing both races within the top five.
Entering the round in second place on the standings after a big performance in the season opener, Beeton picked up where he left off as he led the charge for the championship regulars.
With a field of 21 competitors taking part in the two-race round, Beeton finished the opening race in P5 after he handled the wet conditions well and didn’t make any mistakes.
Starting the feature race in the same place as he finished, the Queenslander managed to make up a place in the feature race, finishing fourth, and showed more pace than some of the drivers ahead of him.
For much of the race, Beeton was in an entertaining battle for P2, only for multiple safety car interventions to prevent him from having more time to get the passes done.
Taking out both wins was Red Bull Junior Driver Arvid Lindbladm who beat fellow Brit Freddie Slater in race one and local star Charles Leong in race two.
Beeton will now have this weekend off before heading to Sepang International Circuit next week for the second official round of the Formula 4 South East Asia Championship.
