Recently, Ford Malaysia organised a media test drive in Chiang Rai, Thailand to get acquainted with the all-new 2015 Ford Everest which is built upon the new Ford Ranger’s T6 platform.
Introduced at this year’s Bangkok International Motor Show in March, the seven-seater SUV has been teased on Ford Malaysia’s official website not too long ago, and will come to Malaysia sometime this year: we understand a time around August is expected.
And while we put together our comprehensive review of the much-anticipated new model, here’s a load of new photos we’ve taken from our drive to keep you warm first.
The variants you see before you are the 2.2L 4×2 and 3.2L 4×4 Titanium respectively. The former is powered by a 2.2-litre four-cylinder Duratorq diesel engine while the latter gets a larger 3.2-litre Duratorq five-cylinder diesel engine instead.
As you can tell, the 4×4 Titanium is fitted with Ford’s Terrain Management System along with controls to manage the car’s differential, helping it navigate rough terrain. Additionally, it also gains a few other features including a powered liftgate, moon roof, larger wheels, and different interior trim pieces.
So browse through our galleries of both variants to get a better look at the all-new 2015 Ford Everest which will go up against the recently launched Isuzu MU-X, and the forthcoming Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and Toyota Fortuner.
Expect a full review of the Everest from us soon.
