A new Ford program called ‘Peace of Mind’ is aimed at those who are considering buying or upgrading to a new car, but would rather wait until after the COVID-19 pandemic passes. With many in the UK being instructed to stay at home, costly car payments each month aren’t the most welcome bill to land on your doorstep. The initiative is offering cashback or a discount to help in these tricky financial times.
Ultimately, most people have bigger things to worry about than buying a new car at the moment, but Ford’s ‘Peace of Mind’ incentive in theory negates some of the risk. Buyers can choose to receive cashback or a discount on their new car equivalent to three monthly payments. Ford’s in-house bank, Ford Finance, can also defer the first three months of payments to further help buyers.
The good news gets better as these offers apply to Ford’s car personal contract purchases (PCP) on Ford Options and Ford Acquire van hire purchase – meaning that personal and business buyers can take advantage. Combined with 0% finance on most Ford models, it’s certainly a tempting proposition.
Andy Barratt, Ford of Britain managing director, said: ‘Ford wants to reassure customers that unprecedented times should not prevent them opting for a replacement new car or van.’ He continues; ‘Customers are putting a new-found priority on reliable motoring from a trusted brand and our innovative ‘Peace of Mind’ programme helps achieve that.’
Ford’s showrooms are currently closed, however, it is possible to order online and cars can be delivered.
Ford are keen that COVID-19 doesn’t get in the way of new car sales.
