The popular Ford Ranger line-up of trucks are getting extended warranty coverage. According to Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the sole distributor for Ford in Malaysia, all new Ford Rangers (from model year 2021 onwards) will be covered by a 5-year warranty, extending the previous coverage by a further two years, thus giving better value to new Ranger owners.
The 5-year warranty for all Ford Ranger Year Make 2021 and onwards is a manufacturer’s warranty and is applicable up to 160,000 km (or whichever comes first). The previous warranty coverage on Rangers was three years or 100,000 km.
Existing Ford Ranger owners who are on the current 3-year warranty are not left out as they will have the option to purchase two Extended Warranty Plans (terms & conditions apply) i.e. PremiumCARE and PowertrainCARE. The warranty plans can be fulfilled at any Ford Authorised Service Centre.
