Are you one of many Ford Bronco customers who was forced to re-order a 2022 Bronco after production issues left your 2021 order unfulfilled? If so, don't stress too much – Ford is offering price protection, with incentives of up to $975 off the price of the latest Bronco, eligible for customers until December 31, 2022.
Cars Direct reports that Ford dealers received information about this from headquarters, with discounts ranging from $250 to $975 dependent on trim level. It is reportedly possible to combine the discount with the brand's Plan Pricing but cannot be included with loyalty discounts or lease bonuses.
For two-door models, the Base trim and Wildtrak receive $800 off, with the Big Bend and Outer Banks derivatives bagging a discount of $400. The Black Diamond and Badlands models receive the biggest discount at $975. Prices for the Bronco two-door start at $29,300 for the base model, with the top-end Wildtrak priced at $47,780.
Four-door variants will get slightly smaller incentives. Base, Outer Banks, and Big Bend versions get just $250 off. Wildtrak models receive a more substantial figure knocked off, at $695, while Black Diamond and Badlands trim levels gain the biggest discounts, at $825. Pricing for the four-door variant kicks off at $33,450.
This follows on from the compensation programs the brand implemented last year, in the hopes of allaying the frustrations of customers experiencing delays. The Dearborn-based carmaker was giving customers who were not prepared to wait for 2022 models up to $2,000 to buy vehicles already in stock.
This is set to change soon, as Ford plans on moving to a process called “inventory framing.” using sales data, dealers will receive up to 80% fewer configurations of its most popular models. It's set to commence in late January or early February, with the end goal being reduced dealer inventory and customers ordering their vehicles with their desired specifications.
