Ford has announced the completion of its 40-millionth F-Series truck.
Showcased alongside a classic 1950 F-1, the milestone F-150 is an off-road-oriented Tremor model finished in Iconic Silver.
Contributing to that number is the Ford F-Series’ 55-year status as Canada’s best-selling truck, selling 128,649 units in 2021 — more than half of Ford’s total Canadian sales last year.
This news comes despite the setbacks of the last two years. F-150 production has slowed significantly due to COVID-wrought supply chain issues, most notably the ongoing global microchip shortage. This situation has left unfinished vehicles waiting outside factories for final components.

The F-Series nameplate started production in 1947, making 2022 its 75th anniversary. Looking forward, we expect sales numbers to climb with the upcoming release of the F-150 Lightning, widely seen as the most tenable electric pickup on the horizon.
