A Florida teenager was charged with vehicular manslaughter Monday after allegedly killing six occupants of a Nissan Rogue earlier this year.
The suspect, Noah Thomas Galle, was going 151 mph in a 2019 BMW M5 when the crash occurred at around 11 p.m. on January 27 in Delray Beach, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Five of the Rogue’s occupants died at the scene and the other died shortly thereafter at the hospital. Galle suffered minor injuries. Police say he did not apply the brake at all before the crash.
Galle, 17 at the time of the incident and now 18, had repeatedly posted videos of himself speeding on TikTok, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. These included videos of him offering $25 on payment app Cash App for anyone who could guess how fast he was going and one video where he went 182 mph on Interstate 95, the New York Post reports. Police found that video while executing a search warrant on Galle’s Instagram.

The standard BMW M5 is limited to 155, but if you option the M Driver’s Package, the limiter is raised to 190 mph. Aftermarket companies often override the limiter as well. The teenager admitted to authorities while in the ambulance that he was going over 120 mph, police say, but did not admit to a specific number.

During Galle’s first juvenile hearing, the daughter of one of the six victims spoke, per WPBF.
“This has been a very, very hard situation for my whole family, my sister and I and my daughter,” said Lyndie Louis, daughter of victim Marie Louis, according to WPBF. “She’s 8. Every time she comes home she’s been asking, ‘Why can’t grandma come back, Mom?’ My mom was very loving and devoted woman.
“I think that the defendant should be in jail and not at home. We can’t see our families now and why should he? This was a very reckless crime and not just for my mom — everybody’s lives. We need justice.”
Louis was pushing for Galle to be kept in juvenile detention awaiting trial. But, after the defense claimed that the teenager had become suicidal following his crash, the judge allowed him to stay out on a $300,000 bond and under house arrest, with the condition that he not be allowed to drive nor contact any of the victims’ families.
“Since the night of the accident, Your Honor, he’s had a very difficult time dealing with the tragedy and he’s been seeing a psychiatrist,” said defense attorney Liz Parker, according to WPBF. The defense also reportedly claimed Galle was experiencing “unusual medical conditions” that may have somehow played a part in the accident.
Galle will be arraigned on April 28. Parker was not immediately available for additional comment.
