Almost a year ago, spy photographers caught the Ferrari Purosangue testing in Germany , and now Ferrari is confirming that production for the SUV will begin in 2022, with the first deliveries going out in 2023.
While we have yet to actually see the Purosangue out of camouflage, the full reveal shouldn’t be too far out — potentially in the next few months.
The previous photos showed a Maserati- Levante-based mule that suggested that there was still plenty of work to be done. These pictures shared by Car and Driver show a bit more of the production bodywork.
Though it hasn’t been confirmed, C/D claims it’s likely the “Ferrari Utility Vehicle” or FUV will get a turbocharged V8, with some form of hybrid assistance; some rumours are suggesting a V12, though.
Following the success of the Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga , and Aston Martin DBX, it seems Ferrari is ready to profit off the SUV market, and it won’t come cheap — expect prices to start in the $300,000 range.
