Fresh look for Audi’s large luxury sedan twins with 2024 model year update due late this year
The 2024 Audi A6 and A7 have emerged in Europe with a fresh new look and higher levels of standard equipment for the luxury sedan twins.
Australian production begins in July for the two models, pointing to a local launch late this year as the German prestige brand soldiers on with the A6 and A7, which are now more than five years into their respective lifecycle.
The cosmetic changes include tweaked front lighting signatures, a mesh grille, new alloy wheels, redesigned rear diffuser and a broader colour palette.
A6 variants fitted with the S-Line package – standard in Australia on both the A6 and A7 – will also brandish reworked air intakes to help underline its sportier intent.
High-performance Audi S6 and S7 models also score new aluminium inlays in their grille and “accentuated side air intakes”.
Australian A6 and A7 models – and their S6 and S7 derivatives – already come with some of the most generous standard equipment lists of any global market, but there should nonetheless be some tweaks to the local specification.
Among these, expect new optional interior trim colourways.
No mechanical changes have been made to either the A6 or A7, which means the Australian line-up should continue to comprise four- and six-cylinder powertrains developing between 140kW/320Nm and 331kW/600Nm, depending on the variant.
