Is the Porsche Cayenne Coupé a good car?
The Porsche Cayenne Coupé is without a doubt a good car. Not only does it provide the practicality expected from an SUV but also the iconic roofline associated with the Porsche brand. Regardless of the trim selected, customers will be happy with the materials used and the build quality.
Who is the Porsche Cayenne Coupé a good car for?
The Porsche Cayenne Coupé is a good car for individuals that want the utility of an SUV whether it is to explore more rural areas with confidence or to host a family on the daily commute but in style with a more sporty design.
Is the Porsche Cayenne Coupé a good first car?
Considering the price point of even the most basic derivative, it might be out of reach of most first-time car buyers. The more performance-oriented variants such as the Turbo or Turbo GT might also prove intimidating to an inexperienced driver, in which case, we would recommend an advanced driving course.
Is the Porsche Cayenne Coupé a good family car?
The model most certainly is a good family vehicle offering ample space for both the front and rear occupants. While the sloping roofline does encroach on the headroom of the rear seats, there is still ample and average-height adults will not even notice. It should be noted that the luggage space is ever so slightly smaller than what you would find in the normal Cayenne models.
Is there a Hybrid Porsche Cayenne Coupé?
There is indeed a hybrid variant namely the Porsche Cayenne Coupé e-hybrid Platinum Edition. It utilises a 3.0-litre, turbocharged, V6 petrol engine in conjunction with an electric motor to produce 340 kW and 700 Nm of torque while remaining capable of returning a claimed average fuel consumption figure of 3.2 L / 100 km.

What’s it like to drive?
Reviewer’s opinion
As expected, the Coupé is a long-distance cruiser par excellence. It has the same cosseting limousine ride as the Porsche Panamera, yet it settled easily on corrugated gravel roads near Middelburg in the eastern province. Even on pothole-riddled tar roads, driven to smithereens by overloaded mining trucks, the Cayenne Coupé was unfazed. Riding comfort was especially impressive, considering our test car wore 21” alloys with low-profile tyres, more suited to the Autobahn than the rural roads we tested theCayenne Coupé on. The standard wheels and tyres are 275/45 ZR20 up front and 305/40 ZR20 at the rear.

What is the Porsche Cayenne Coupé like inside?
Even with the most basic trim options the Cayenne Coupé provides a premium cabin environment with high levels of craftsmanship and quality. The strong horizontal theme as seen on other Porsche vehicles is also noticeable here and remains uncluttered as all the physical buttons are found on the centre console around the gear selector.
Style
Upfront the Cayenne Coupé is nearly identical to its more traditional SUV sibling, the Cayenne, however, as your eye follows the roofline one will quickly notice the more sportlike line as it quickly slopes down. The result is a side profile that much resembles that of the iconic 911 models. This gives the Cayenne Coupé a more sporty design rather than utility and will appeal to enthusiasts of the 911 range.
