XPeng Motors announced its official entry into the Mexican market on March 26, launching the G6 and G9 as its first models and unveiling a three-year strategy targeting Latin America. Xpeng launch event in Mexico Both the G6 and G9 introduced in Mexico are equipped with an 800 V high-voltage silicon carbide (SiC) platform, supporting 5C ultra-fast charging, and come with the XPILOT advanced driver assistance system. In terms of pricing, the G6 is offered in three variants priced between MXN 819,900 ($45,800) and MXN 919,900 ($51,400). The G9 is available in two variants priced from MXN 1,099,900 ($61,400) to MXN 1,259,900 ($70,300). Xpeng G6 and G9 price details As a global model, the G6 has already been exported to more than 40 countries and regions, ranking as the top-selling new energy startup brand model in markets such as Norway and Denmark. The G9 also performed strongly in Europe last year, topping the sales rankings among China-made mid-to-large pure electric SUVs and becoming the only Chinese brand to enter the top 10 in its segment. The move into Mexico marks a key step in XPeng’s Latin America strategy. As a geographic bridge between North and South America, Mexico serves as a strategic entry point for automakers expanding into the region. According to its roadmap, XPeng will execute a three-phase expansion. In 2026, the company will focus on establishing a presence in Mexico, Brazil and Colombia. Xpeng’s thre-year roadmap for Latin America In 2027, it will expand into Chile and Argentina while introducing both battery electric and extended-range models. By 2028, XPeng aims to cover major markets across Latin America. On the distribution and service front, XPeng is advancing localization efforts. The company has partnered with three leading local distributors to establish a sales network in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey, with the first stores set to open on April 6. Xpeng warehouse in Mexico At the same time, XPeng has set up a 1,000 ㎡ spare parts warehouse and built a logistics system to ensure parts delivery within three to five days. From a global perspective, XPeng is accelerating its overseas expansion. The company has now entered 60 countries and regions, with its charging network covering 31 countries.
