XPeng Motors achieved global cumulative deliveries of 429,445 vehicles in 2025, representing a YoY growth rate of 126%. This afternoon, XPeng Motors officially held its 2026 Global New Product Launch Event. At the event, XPeng officially unveiled the Kunpeng Super Range Extender and introduced four models: the 2026 XPeng P7+, the XPeng G7 Super Range Extender, the 2026 XPeng G6, and the 2026 XPeng G9. The Ultra versions of all four models will be equipped with XPeng’s second-generation VLA, which the company claims is the industry’s first physical world large model capable of achieving preliminary L4-level capabilities. Below, we break down the key technologies and products launched by XPeng at the start of the year, following the sequence of the launch event. Second-Generation VLA First, let’s take a look at XPeng’s “second-generation VLA.” He Xiaopeng stated that current “end-to-end small models” might handle 80% of roads well, but the remaining 20% of scenarios would prevent them from ever achieving true autonomous driving. The second-generation VLA eliminates the traditional “language translation layer” and, paired with 2250 TOPS of industry-leading effective on-vehicle computing power, a 30,000-card cloud computing cluster, and nearly 100 million video training data points, enables features such as recognizing gestures to initiate parking, crawling into main roads, identifying irregular vehicles in construction zones, and crossing solid lines to detour from oncoming lanes. Meanwhile, XPeng’s second-generation VLA is training more capabilities for L4 autonomous driving, including ‘starting in place’, pulling over, recognizing various types of speed bumps, and multiple autonomous driving styles. Currently, Robotaxis equipped with the second-generation VLA software have passed third-party testing agency site evaluations and are about to begin public road testing. According to the plan, the second-generation VLA will officially be deployed in vehicles in the first quarter. Tianji AIOS 6.0 Another key announcement at the event was in the smart cockpit domain—the Tianji AIOS 6.0. Tianji AIOS 6.0 adopts a new “Yuguang” design language, bringing a comprehensive upgrade to the interactive experience. Additionally, Tianji AIOS 6.0 supports 3D Lane-Level SR navigation, allowing users to more clearly recognize information in complex road conditions. For voice interaction, Tianji AIOS 6.0 also supports cross-scenario multi-turn dialogue, making voice interaction more intelligent. Most notably, Tianji AIOS 6.0 will also support XPeng’s VLM, paired with 750 TOPS of the world’s largest effective computing power, ushering the cockpit into an era of “proactive services.” Examples include checking the user’s attire, recommending navigation routes, automatically lowering volume, and proactively activating defogging. XPeng Motors officially stated that it will deepen cooperation with VIVO, enabling XPeng’s VLM to provide mobile phone messages on the vehicle’s system and assist in replying to them.
