The Galaxy M7 is the second model in the Galaxy M Series following the flagship M9 SUV, and the first mid-size plug-in hybrid SUV under this lineup. On February 2, the Geely Galaxy brand announced the official name of its new mid-size SUV, the Galaxy M7, and released a set of official images. The Galaxy M7 is the second model in the Galaxy M Series following the flagship M9 SUV, and the first mid-size plug-in hybrid SUV under this lineup. Geely Galaxy M7 According to Geely’s plan, the model will be launched in the first half of 2026. In terms of design, the Galaxy M7 adopts the brand’s latest design language. The front features a full-width light strip that echoes a through-type lower grille, while chrome accents are added to the air guide channels on both sides. The side profile is more sculpted, incorporating a floating roof design. The vehicle measures 4,770 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width, and 1,685 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,785 mm. At the rear, a full-width taillight design is retained, with the brand’s English lettering integrated into the lamp cluster. Inside, the cabin follows a family-oriented design approach. A T-shaped center console is paired with a three-spoke steering wheel, while wood-grain trim on the door panels and center console emphasizes comfort and perceived quality. Interior view of Galaxy M7 According to Geely, the Galaxy M7 will be equipped with three core new-energy technologies under the Galaxy brand. It comprises Geely Galaxy’s in-house developed and manufactured Golden Brick Battery, Golden Computing Range system, and Golden Handling control system. Power comes from a 1.5-liter hybrid engine rated at 82 kW, paired with battery packs supplied by Yaoning New Energy or Times Changan. Galaxy M7 The model offers a pure electric driving range of up to 225 km, a combined range of 1,730 km with a full tank and full charge, and fuel consumption of 3.35 L/100 km under depleted battery conditions. From a product planning perspective, the launch of the Galaxy M7 further completes the Galaxy M Series lineup, extending coverage from the flagship segment to the mainstream mid-size SUV market. Sales data show that Geely Galaxy delivered 82,990 vehicles in January, down 18% month-on-month and 11% year-on-year. Against a backdrop of slowing growth, models such as the M7, aimed at mainstream family users, are expected to play a key role in stabilizing the brand’s sales performance going forward.
