Royal Enfield has dominated the budget Adventure tourer segment since the introduction of the Himalayan in 2016. But, now we have two new contenders from Yezdi and BMW fighting for the top spot.

The oldest contender in this drag race battle is the Royal Enfield Himalayan It is powered by a 411cc, single-cylinder, air-oil cooled, fuel-injected engine that produces about 24.31 Ps of peak power at 6,500 rpm and 32 Nm of peak torque at 4,000-4,500 rpm. The engine is paired to a five-speed gearbox.
The newest entrant of the Adventure tourer segment, the Yezdi Adventure, on the other hand, uses a 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected motor that churns out about 30.2 PS of peak power at 8,000 rpm and 29.9 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine is paired to a six-speed gearbox.
The last contender, the BMW G310 GS, uses a 313cc, water-cooled, single-cylinder 4-stroke engine, four valves, fuel-injected engine that churns out 34 PS of peak power at 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm delivered with the help of a six-speed gearbox.

Round 1
The riders line their bikes at the starting point before the race
The rider starts the on the mark of three horns. The BMW G310 GS takes the lead at the start of round one. The Yezdi Adventure takes the second position, followed by the Himalayan on the third. The BMW G310 GS proved to be the quickest bike amongst the trio and won the drag race without breaking a sweat. The Yezdi Adventure finished second, while the Royal Enfield Himalayan finished third.
Round 2
The rider starts the race on the mark of three horns
The riders decided to swap their bikes before the second round to keep things fair. The riders once again take off on the mark of three horns. As expected, the G310 GS takes the lead in the second round of this drag race battle.
But, the Himalaya rider had a decent launch, and it gave the Yezdi Adventure a tough fight to retain the second position. But, without a doubt, the Yezdi Adventure offers more power and better mid-range, so it managed to overtake the Himalayan and secure the second position mid-race.
The BMW G310 GS won the second round as well. The Yezdi Adventure finished second while the Himalayan finished last.

We don’t often see Adventure motorcycles doing top-speed runs
