The decked-out XM Label Red costs $198,544, including destination fees.
BMW has officially added the XM Label Red configurator on its customer-facing website, allowing discerning US buyers to spec the high-performance luxury crossover. It follows the opening of its ordering banks last month, but page visitors don't have to stress themselves out as BMW only offers a few options.
With a starting price of $185,000, the specced-out BMW XM Label Red can be yours for $198,544, which already includes the destination and handling fees of $995. In other words, the Bavarian automaker only offers around $12,000 worth of options for the North American market.
Exterior-wise, all 11 paint color options don't have an additional premium, including Brooklyn Grey Metallic, Melbourne Red Metallic, and Frozen Tulum Blue Metallic. Upsizing the standard 22-inch wheels to 23 inches is also free, regardless of the styling and color trims.

Inside, BMW offers a standard Fiona red and black leather upholstery and carbon fiber M signature. But the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System is available for $3,400, providing diamond dome tweeters, fully active amplification channels, and QuantumLogic Surround/Dynamic Sound Equalizing.
Another option that adds to the SRP is the $2,500 M Driver's Package. Aside from the increase in top speed, the package includes a one-day high-performance driving class at a BMW Performance Center.
The configurator also offers five levels of the BMW Ultimate Care+, with the most expensive bundle topping at $6,649. One perk is the extended coverage for an additional four years and 89,000 miles for seven years or 125,000 miles.

Under the hood is a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with a plug-in hybrid system. The power unit has a maximum system output of 738 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful M model ever. The Label Red makes an extra 94 hp and 74 lb-ft of torque compared to the standard XM.
Only 500 examples will be produced by BMW. Sadly, one crashed at the recent Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. But we're glad Chief Driving Instructor at the BMW Performance Driving School Matt Mullins made it out of the vehicle safely.
The XM Label Red's production will begin next month at the BMW Group Plant Spartanburg in South Carolina.
