BMW has launched the new BMW X3 20d M Sport in India at Rs 69.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Furthermore, the company has discontinued all petrol variants of the X3 SUV in the country.
Exterior
The new BMW X3 20d M Sport looks very sporty with its redesigned front and rear bumpers along with blacked-out window frame, roof rail and diffuser. Furthermore, the new BMW X3 20d M Sport also comes with large 20-inch alloy wheels and blue-coloured brake calipers.
Interior & Features
On the inside, the newly launched BMW X3 20d M Sport comes with sporty-looking brushed aluminium trim, M-spec leather-wrapped steering wheel, panoramic glass roof, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 360-degree camera, head-up display, ambient lighting, 464W Harman Kardon Surround Sound system with 16 speakers, and much more.
The boot of the new BMW X3 has a capacity of 550 litres and can be further expanded to 1600 litres by folding down the 40/20/40 split rear seats.
Engine & Transmission
Powering the newly launched BMW X3 20d M Sport SUV is a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine with 190bhp of peak power and 400Nm of peak torque. Furthermore, this engine comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard and sends power to all four wheels.
In comparison, the recently discontinued 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine produces 252bhp of power and 350Nm of torque. This powertrain also comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard and sends power to all four wheels.
Safety
The newly launched BMW X3 20d M Sport comes with advanced safety features such as multiple airbags, Attentiveness Assistance, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), electric parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobilizer and crash sensor, ISOFIX child seat mounting and many more.
Thoughts About The New BMW X3 20d M Sport
The new BMW X3 20d M Sport looks a lot sportier than the X3 20d Luxury edition. That being said, the BMW X3 20d M Sport will appeal to younger buyers and we expect sales figures to improve thanks to its frugal diesel powertrain.
