British luxury automaker Bentley is expanding its lineup of ‘S’ vehicles by sticking the trim on the GT S, GTC S, and Flying Spur S.
The S versions of the Continental GT and GT Convertible (GTC) were introduced a couple weeks back with special designs inside and out, including a new sport exhaust; while the Flying Spur S is set to debut in full at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed, and will be the first Bentley to offer the ‘S’ designation alongside a hybrid powertrain.
Functionally speaking, the only edit to the S Grand Tourers is the addition of a quad-tip exhaust that enhances the sound of the V8 unit beneath the hood. Visually, the two GTs have been rendered darker, with only the winged badge and lettering keeping their light complexion. The grille is now instead glossy black, and standard 22-inch wheels (black or Pale Brodgar Satin as an option) bear a five-Y-shaped-spoke composition that’s contrasted by the inset red brake calipers. Twenty-one inch wheels with a tri-spoke design are also available.
A two-tone finish sets the interior apart from other Continentals, along with a spattering of ‘S’ badging and embroidery.
A similar two-tone design graces the inside the Bentley Flying Spur S, where seats are available with either a fluted or quilted design, with a combination of Dinamica and leather; the S emblem appears on the tread plates and headrests. Like the GT S, the Spur S also borrows the brand’s motorsport-inspired driver display graphics.
The 2023 Flying Spur S also gets the blackened treatment via the grille, lower fascia, mirror caps, rear bumper, sport exhaust, and more, including tinted headlights and taillights. It shops at the same shoe store as the GT as well, with available similar 22-inchers with five Y-shaped spokes in gloss black or the special satin; and 21-inchers with a tri-spoke design, both set with the red brake calipers.

For the first time ever in a S model, the Flying Spur will be available with a 2.9L twin-turbo hybrid V6 that should allow for 41 km of pure electric motoring per charge. The powerplant makes 536 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque and is capable of propelling the car to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. That’s just one-tenth of a second slower than the V8 model, which uses a 4.0L twin-turbo to make 543 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque.
The Flying Spur also gets four-wheel steering for decreased in-town turning radius and improved lane-changing abilities; as well as the brand’s Dynamic Ride system for ultra-smooth sailing.
Bentley will debut the Flying Spur S in full at the Goodwood Festival of Speed taking place from June 23 through 26. The latest ‘S’ models mean the trim is now available across Bentley’s entire range.
