Exhilarating performance is best paired with beautiful exhaust music.
AWE Tuning released the SwitchPath catback exhaust system for the Audi RS6 Avant and the RS7 Sportback, giving the two performance vehicles a more intimidating exhaust note. The US-based company said that its new exhaust system for each model is integrated with AWE's patented drone-canceling 180 technology, which muffles unwanted noises to achieve a purer and more assertive exhaust note.
AWE Vice President of Marketing Jesse Kramer shared that the new exhaust available for the RS6 and RS7 also features a new tip design called “ReflecTip.” Kramer said that AWE's new exhaust tip has a parabolic shape designed to redirect exhaust notes back toward the driver. This is done so the SwitchPath exhaust can pass through Audi's well-insulated cabin.
The roaring exhaust sound isn't the only highlight of AWE's new product, as it is claimed to give the RS6 Avant and the RS7 Sportback a power boost of 8 horsepower and 14 lb-ft of torque. This power bump is backed up through AWE's internal dyno testing.
This means the RS6 Avant can deliver as much as 599 hp, up from the stock car's 591 hp from its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. There's no word yet on whether it'll have the same increase on the RS6 and RS7 Performance, however, as those models already receive their own enhancements.
The SwitchPath is also designed with post-catalyst downpipes integrated with factory-match components to absorb engine movement.

SwitchPath has a straight-through design, which helps achieve maximum performance and tone. Best of all, installing the SwitchPath exhaust is a pure bolt-on that requires no cutting process. It also guarantees perfect fitment for the Audi RS6 Avant and the RS7 Sportback. The AWE SwitchPath system is currently priced at $4,995, with a lifetime warranty included in the purchase.
AWE Tuning is no stranger when it comes to manufacturing products for Audi vehicles. Its product portfolio includes an exhaust system for the Audi RS3, which was introduced last year, but the brand has also worked on systems for the Volkswagen Golf GTI, Ford F-150, and Chevrolet Silverado, among others.
