Audi’s House of Progress Exhibition is headed for Singapore
Singapore – Audi’s House of Progress exhibition will be making its first ever appearance in Singapore. After several successful iterations in other cities like Tokyo, Milan, São Paulo and Montreal, the exhibition showcases the brand’s commitment to their four core pillars (Digitisation, Design, Progress, Sustainability) through various installations and panel discussions with thought leaders based in Singapore.
Along with the panel discussions and installations, Audi Singapore will be bringing in several new vehicles within the Audi product range.
“We are excited to bring House of Progress to Singapore for the first time next year,” said Markus Schuster, Managing Director, Audi Singapore. “Our 2023 line-up will also debut new models that will not only expand our current electric range here, but also continue to excite customers with our latest innovations.”
We’ll bring you more details of the exhibition as we have them. For the time being, here are the new Audi models that we should expect to see in 2023:
Audi Q8 e-tron
We covered the details about the Q8 e-tron announcement earlier in November, but if you haven’t read it, here’s a summary.
Audi’s e-tron SUV range has been updated with a new moniker with new model variants. Coming in both SUV and coupe-SUV Sportback bodystyles, the Q8 e-tron range now comes with bigger battery packs and better efficiency figures than before.
Of course, the looks have been updated too so now the SUV/Sportback silhouettes have lower drag coefficients than the outgoing e-tron 50/55 and e-tron S models.
Come the second half of 2023, we should expect to see the Q8 e-tron 50 and Q8 e-tron 55 (with 91kWh and 114kWh battery packs respectively). As for the top-spec SQ8 e-tron, we’ll just have to wait and see.
Moving on to the ICE-er side of things…
Audi RS 6 Avant Performance and RS 7 Sportback Performance
Here at TopGear Singapore, we like fast wagons and fast four-door coupes. So it’s a good thing that Audi’s RS 6 Avant Performance and RS 7 Sportback Performance are headed our way in the second half of 2023. We’ll be getting a preview of these two Audi RS vehicles before the cars go on sale here, but here’s what we know so far.
The current “standard” RS 6 Avant and RS 7 Sportback models are powered by a 4.0-litre biturbo V8 that churns out 600hp/800Nm.
But the “Performance” aspect means that the new cars will receive larger turbochargers and increased boost pressures for a bump in power. 30 more horsepower and 50Nm more torque to be exact. So now the Performance variants of the RS 6 Avant and RS 7 Sportback will have a total of 630 horsepower and 850Nm of torque. Audi quotes the 0-100km/h figures of both cars at 3.4 seconds.
The cars’ transmission control units have been revised for quicker shift times as well, with a wider spread between the various drive modes which in theory (for Audi and for us), should make for a more agile experience.
