The Audi RS 6 Avant has been the subject of tuning professionals and preparers once again, however this time the project is a little different. For the first time, the MTM and Mansory teams have combined their talents and skills to create the four-sportiest ring’s family into one of the most ruthless inventions.
The Audi RS 6 Avant is one of the cars that lends itself well to customizing and modifying. The four-ringed trademark has seen several modifications by famous experts who have let their imaginations run wild. But this is the first time two businesses have collaborated to meet a challenge. MTM and Mansory are presenting a collaborative development for the first time.
And, of course, the Audi A6, the most powerful model and top of the line, has been the star of the show, with a challenging qualifying result. The RS 6 Avant catches the eye from every aspect, with a massive front bumper that takes the issue of cooling to the extreme, with exposed gills on the hood panel in particular. The crash bar also includes some additional visible carbon fiber spoilers that significantly enhance the station wagon’s overhang and length.
New 22-inch alloy wheels, new side skirts, a new rear spoiler on the tailgate to improve downforce, and a narrower one just below the back window have also been installed by the two specialists. The back bumper, though, is what truly draws attention. With a massive diffuser and four exhausts fitted into square moldings, this car is powerful and has a very savage appearance.
Furthermore, by darkening the logos on the four rings, MTM and Mansory have taken away part of Audi’s significance.
The two trainers haven’t mentioned any interior improvements, but they have mentioned what’s beneath the hood, as the strong 4.0-liter V8 biturbo gives performance never seen before in this vehicle. The original specs are no longer valid, since the MTM “Stage 2” software reduces the maximum power to 600 hp and the maximum torque to 800 Nm, resulting in 820 horsepower and 1,167 Nm.
At first look, it does not appear that Mansory has demonstrated his ingenuity and skill on the body of the Audi RS 7 Sportback, especially in accordance with the German preparer’s designs, because the outcome is so subtle that it may be easily mistaken for an original kit. However, because the tuning expert has been so quiet, expect a far more aggressive build in the months ahead.
The strong 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine that powers the sports sedan has also been tuned by Mansory. The model’s maximum power increases from 600 HP to 770 C V thanks to a redesigned engine management unit and two new turbochargers, while engine torque also increases from 800 to 1000 Nm. Just enough for a three-second acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h.
