T Roc line-up “strong, but highly anticipated baby ‘R’ has staff and dealerships buzzing”.
Volkswagen has unveiled its new three-pronged T Roc line-up for New Zealand – the Life 2WD, the R-Line 2WD and R AWD.
The range boasts a sharpened exterior design, enhanced technical, safety and infotainment features and a refined interior.
“The new T Roc line-up is strong, but it’s the highly anticipated baby ‘R’ that has our staff and dealerships buzzing,” says Greg Leet, general manager of Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles.
“We know it’s going to be a hit – broadening out the T Roc’s appeal, and attracting a new audience with its balanced sport and style credentials paired with perfect performance.”
With LED headlights standard across the range, the newly restyled exterior and the four new paint colours, the T Roc “will leave an impression on everyone before they even get behind the wheel”.
A host of new active safety features include travel assist, emergency assist and automatic high-beam assist.
Featuring a two-litre TSI four-cylinder engine with a highly responsive turbo-charger, the power in the T Roc R, pictured, is doubled over other variants to 221kW with 400Nm of torque.
Volkswagen’s dynamic chassis control system replaces the standard suspension with an active damper allowing the driver to tune to different profile selections, while the 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system ensures excellent traction, handling and steering response while constantly monitoring driving conditions.
The T Roc line-up is priced from $41,990 for the Life 2WD.
