Yet it still retains a sleeper look.
A drag race matchup between an AWD Honda Integra DC5 and Nissan GT-R is expected from Officially Gassed, but it's back to treat us car nuts instead with an insane Audi RS4 build based on the B7-generation RS4 Avant (wagon). While the performance wagon is a pretty capable car in its own right, installing forced induction – among many other things – gives us a glimpse of its tuning potential.
James owns the Audi RS4, powered by a turbocharged 4.2-liter V8 making an impressive 730 horsepower at eight PSI of boost. Its precision turbo setup and nitrous injection enhance mid-range power delivery, but that's not what's special. We've seen past Audis tuned to break the 700 hp mark, but what makes this build more special? Where the turbo is located.
The rear-mounted turbo setup is the highlight of this build. James showcases the design with a custom-made glass panel, allowing a view of the turbo under the trunk floor. The turbo is a Precision Turbo three-inch model, complemented by a 1.5-inch external wastegate. The exhaust is designed to feed directly into the turbo, and the system includes a muffler with a valved option for extra noise. The car is equipped with water-methanol injection for even more power.
The owner has taken a hands-on approach to the entire build, except for the calibration tune performed by MRC. The car features a stock engine without internal modifications and a custom CG Motorsport twin-plate ceramic clutch. Upgraded engine mounts, gearbox mounts, and a billet short shifter ensure smooth operation. A standard Bosch 9.1 ECU manages the car, while the suspension has been upgraded with Bilstein components.

Taking the Audi RS4 for a spin, the brutal performance left everyone in awe. The power delivery was smooth and refined, maintaining the V8 characteristics and the feel of the Audi despite the mechanical modifications. The combination of turbocharging, nitrous injection, and meticulous engineering resulted in a well-balanced road car.
James' attention to detail and commitment to maintaining OEM aesthetics sets this build apart. With plans to enhance the car's power further, James intends to enjoy this unique creation fully. It shows you can enjoy a stock sleeper look without going over the top.
Sadly for American fans, we no longer get the RS4 – instead getting the RS5 Sportback – but that doesn't mean Audi doesn't have plans for mean wagons, as the RS6 is set to spawn a variant that will “blow your effing mind.”
