Ahead of its local release in the third quarter of 2023, Australian pricing and specifications for the 2024 Ford F-150 have been announced. Priced from $106,950 plus on-road costs, the F-150 will be offered in just two specifications initially, with the XLT sitting as the entry point to the range and the Lariat sitting above it. Just one engine will be available for the time being as well, while all F-150s sold by Ford will be built in the US and then remanufactured in Australia by RMA Automotive.

The addition of this icon to our local showrooms alongside the incredibly popular Ranger means Australian customers now have two uncompromising utes to choose from. Thanks to its 4,500kg towing ability, the F-150 ensures Aussies can go anywhere, with almost anything, at any time,” said Andrew Birkic, President and CEO, Ford Australia.
Under the bonnet of the 2024 Ford F-150 is a 298kW/678Nm 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged petrol V6 engine from Ford’s ‘EcoBoost’ family. The engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and a part-time four-wheel drive system. The braked towing capacity for all F-150s will be 4,500kg – a minimum of 1,000kg more than smaller utes like the Ranger and Toyota HiLux.
Initially, there will be two models of F-150 in Australia: the entry-level XLT (from $106,950 plus on-road costs) and the top-spec Lariat (from $139,950 +ORC). Standard kit on the XLT includes 20-inch alloy wheels, a two-bar grille with chrome front and rear bumpers, black running boards, a spray-in bed liner, ‘Boxlink’ cargo management cleats, underbody skid plates, a column transmission selector, cloth upholstery, a 12-way electric driver’s seat with a 10-way electric front passenger seat, an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Ford’s ‘SYNC4’ infotainment system, satellite navigation, a seven-speaker sound system, an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, power-adjustable pedals, a fold out office and cruise control.
Safety kit includes six airbags, auto emergency braking (AEB), blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert, lane keep assist, driver attention monitoring, rear parking sensors and a reversing camera.
The upper-spec Lariat adds a mesh front grille, extra exterior chrome (including the door handles and running boards), a twin-panel sunroof, LED exterior lighting, a power tailgate, a power-sliding middle rear window, leather upholstery, heated and cooled front seats, heated outboard rear seats, 12-way electrically adjustable front seats with driver’s memory, a console-mounted shifter, a larger 12-inch touchscreen with a 12-inch digital driver’s display, a wireless phone charger, an 18-speaker B&O sound system, front parking sensors, a 360-degree parking camera, adaptive cruise control with stop and go functionality, lane trace assist, sped sign recognition and both evasive steering assist and intersection assist for the AEB system.
The only no-cost colour for the F-150 range is ‘Oxford White’, with ‘Agate Black’, ‘Iconic Silver’, ‘Antimatter Blue’, ‘Carbonised Grey’ and ‘Rapid Red’ costing extra (Ford is yet to confirm paint pricing).
