The Blaze Orange Metallic and Electric Blue color options will be removed from the lineup.
It appears that a full-width LED taillight isn't the only huge change arriving with the mid-cycle refresh of the Cadillac sedans. According to Cadillac Society, new paint color options are coming for the CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing, including a fresh yellow color.
The high-performance V-Series sedans will receive a revamped exterior color lineup, offering enthusiasts a fresh and dynamic selection of hues. Among the nine available paint colors for the 2024 model year, four new options will make their debut, namely Cyber Yellow Metallic, Velocity Red, Coastal Blue Metallic, and Black Diamond Tricoat. Unfortunately, no official images of the colors have been released as of this writing, and the inclusion of the smaller CT4-V and CT4-V Blackwing wasn't mentioned in the report. But we think the yellow will look something like the picture below.
All of these hues will reportedly incur additional costs. Meanwhile, Argent Silver Metallic, Black Raven, Midnight Steel Metallic, Radiant Red Tintcoat, and Summit White will be carried over from the 2023 model year color options, completing the range.
To make way for the mentioned new paint options, five colors – including some that were introduced with the CT5-V's launch three years ago – will be removed from the lineup. They will be Blaze Orange Metallic (seen in the gallery here), Wave Metallic, Electric Blue, Rift Metallic, and newly added for 2023, the Maverick Noir Frost.
CarBuzz discovered design patent filings earlier this month, depicting a full-width LED taillight for the Caddy sedans, including the standard CT4 and CT5. This design execution is rather common these days, which could either be good or bad depending on how you see them. Nevertheless, the changes are expected to arrive as part of their mid-cycle refresh, presumably arriving for the 2024 model year. However, Cadillac Society reports that the updates could be pushed back to the 2025 model year.
As it stands, the design changes mentioned here aren't set in stone yet, so an announcement from Cadillac is obviously due. We expect to learn more about the facelifted models, including the new paint color options, in the months to come so make sure to keep us in your tabs.
