There's a touch more standard equipment too, but it's hardly noticeable.
Pricing for the 2024 BMW M3 and its two-door coupe sibling, the BMW M4, has been revealed via the American configurator, and it appears that every derivative will receive a hefty increase.
Before we get into the revised pricing, let's discuss what has changed. It's not much, to be honest, but it appears the M3/M4 will receive standard wireless charging and the Personal eSIM 5G as standard. This was previously a $500 option on the 2023 M4, for example, and included a Wi-Fi hotspot with a three-month complimentary trial.
So, what can you expect to pay if you're in the market for a new M3 or M4? Well, the base M3 Sedan will set you back $76,000, making it $3,200 pricier than its 2023 equivalent. It's a similar story for the M3 Competition and M3 Competition xDrive, which weigh in at $80,200 and $84,300, respectively. That's a $3,500 increase compared to last year.

If you don't need the extra doors, you could always go for the rakish M4, available as a coupe or convertible. The regular M4 has an MSRP of $78,100, which makes it $3,400 pricier than last year's model. Upgrade to the M4 Competition ($82,200), the M4 Competition xDrive ($86,300), or the M4 Convertible Competition xDrive ($93,300), and you will pay $3,600 more than the equivalent 2023 model.
Regardless of the model, BMW has slapped a hefty premium on the M3 and M4, and, as far as we can see, there isn't a significant bump in standard equipment or performance to justify this. Perhaps when BMW releases the official price and equipment list for the 2024 models, we will see additional standard features, but BMW may just be capitalizing on the popularity of its M3 and M4. It's also worth remembering that inflation and supply issues continue to plague all.
Still, those prices are way off the new BMW M3 CS, which will command $118,700 when it touches down at dealerships this year.

We have a feeling that Bimmer fans will happily fork this out, as the M3 CS will be produced in very limited numbers.
If you were hoping for more significant changes, it would be best to wait for MY2025. We've already spotted the updated M4 LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) out testing. It's clear to see the luxury performance coupe will receive subtle styling tweaks. More importantly, a rumor suggests the M4 will receive a generous horsepower boost, with up to 535 hp expected in all-wheel-drive derivatives. Expect the M3 to benefit from these changes as well.
These updated variants are expected to be the swansong of the ICE-powered M3/M4, with BMW M officials noting the replacements will be all-electric. Perhaps the LCI models will bring even more special editions to celebrate the final gas-powered M3, which has been an icon since the 1980s.
