It promises to be a genuine revolution in every aspect, including, of course, aesthetics. The new BMW 7 Series, which strives to be a technological milestone, will dramatically alter its look by adopting a new style, which we expect to see in this reconstruction.
The Bavarians wish to make amends for the error they made with the current generation 7 Series, which was deprived of its status of technological reference, which it had always had, and replaced it with the 5 Series. The new BMW 7 Series for 2023 is getting closer and closer, and it will not only be a technology milestone, but it will also be a genuine aesthetic revolution.
With a particularly avant-garde look on the front, the spy photographs make this point plain.
This recreation, like the new 2 Series Active Tourer, bets on headlights divided into layers, with a thin strip of LED light on the upper edges -perfectly visible despite the camouflage- and the main functions on a second level, flanking a double ovoid grille that will grow generously, as seen in the new 2 Series Active Tourer.
The BMW iX’s superb light clusters will be carried over to the rear. The big curved screen that dominates the instrument panel and the infotainment system are also taken from the electric SUV. A revolution in the interior will set a new level of luxury, clearly aiming to surpass the S-Class, with the natural language voice assistant as standard. The new saloon will be available in a basic finish as well as two extra finishes – “M Sport” and “Luxury” – to suit client preferences.
One of the most compelling reasons will be the arsenal of technology, which includes air suspension as standard, as well as a comprehensive list of typical choices, including those from BMW Individual, and extras like automated opening and shutting doors. Heating, air conditioning, and massage may be available in the back seats as well.
The 2023 7 Series will also be the first level 3 self-driving vehicle, a human-supervised highway assistance that was originally planned for the iX but has been relegated to the luxury saloon.
The Series 7 will make its public debut in the middle of next spring, with a commercial release planned for the end of winter 2023, around March. The company plans to launch a lineup that includes gasoline, diesel, and two plug-in hybrids, as well as four and six-cylinder engines and a V8. A new generation of propellants with 48-volt technology and an unrivaled combustion system to fulfill the stringent Euro 7 requirements. All are equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission with the option of xDrive all-wheel drive.
