The 2023 Integra, which replaces the ILX in the Acura lineup, garnered some strong opinions. Some criticize it as a Honda Civic with frills, while others praise it as an inspired revival of the Integra nameplate. Notable exterior design features include:
- Frameless Diamond Pentagon grille
- JewelEye LED headlights
- Chicane LED daytime running lights
- Muscular rear wheel arches
- Dual-exhaust finishers
The Integra Prototype that Acura debuted last year has matte-finish 19-inch split-five wheels. It also has large Brembo high-performance brakes with color-keyed Indy Yellow calipers. The Yellow Pearl exterior paint color on the Integra Prototype is a nod to the Phoenix Yellow hue on the 2001-2002 Integra Type R.
Additionally, the Integra Prototype has High-gloss Berlina Black accents on the front grille, roof, mirror caps, rear diffuser, and decklid spoiler. On the side of the Integra Prototype, there is a lower-sill graphic with the Integra name.
Where is the Acura Integra built?
The 2023 Acura Integra was designed in Japan. However, the 2023 Integra will be the first Integra model built in the U.S. The production of the 2023 Integra is at the Marysville Auto Plant in Ohio, alongside the Acura TLX.
