The upcoming 2022 MG ZS EV will get 75 connected car features along with the earlier confirmed new and larger touchscreen infotainment unit with better graphics and a more ergonomic menu layout.
In addition to that, the new MG ZS EV will come with on-demand in-car services and subscriptions as part of the company’s Car-as-a-Platform (CAAP) vision. This includes services and subscription packages such as MapMyIndia, Park+, Jio, and Shortpedia.
This means the new MG ZS eV can be equipped with features such as advanced 4D maps with live traffic updates. While this may sound like a gimmick, the feature can be very useful in congested cities.
Other than this, MG ZS EV customers can also pre-book desired parking slots ahead of reaching the destination for added convenience using the above-mentioned Park+ application.
According to sources, the new MG ZS EV will also come with a digital key function that allows users to use their phone as a key using Bluetooth and drive without requiring the physical key.
Apart from that, the facelifted version of the MG ZS EV also comes with an i-SMART app to remotely control various functions of the car such as lock/unlock doors, control air conditioning, live location sharing and much more.
The new system in the 2022 MG ZS EV can recognise over 100 commands that can be used to control various features in cars such as AC, Sunroof, Music, Navigation, etc.
In addition to all these features, the updated MG ZS EV also comes with an MG Pulse hub that offers 24×7 support to customers via the i-Call function.
Apart from all these upgrades and changes, the 2022 MG ZS EV also sports a larger 51kWh battery pack which is 6.5kWh larger than the battery pack in the current model and thus the new updated model will come with a revised range of 419 kms on a single charge.
The exterior of the new MG ZS EV is also heavily updated as the front-end design now makes the new MG ZS EV look more in line with the design of the MG Astor SUV. These changes include a pair of new headlights, a new front grille that is now a completely sealed-off unit and a new bumper with different air intakes.
In International markets, the updated 2022 MG ZS EV comes with an 11kW AC charger as standard. Speaking about the charging, the charging port on the updated model now gets a four-stage LED indicator that shows the charging status of the battery pack in the car.
Apart from that, the new MG ZS EV may also get Advanced Driver Assistance Systems like the MG Astor. According to MG Motors, the new MG ZS EV will be launched on 7th March 2022.
Thoughts About The New 2022 MG ZS EV
The updated MG ZS EV will make a lot more sense in the Indian market as many people in India have range anxiety. With the uprated larger battery pack, the MG ZS EV will have a better range. However, we believe that the charging time may go up marginally due to the bigger battery pack.
