Australian features and specifications for the 2022 Ford Everest have been revealed ahead of the model’s upcoming launch.
Set to hit Australian showrooms later this year, Ford has confirmed its second-generation Everest will be available in four variants (Ambiente, Trend, Sport and Platinum), with a choice of two diesel engines headlining the range.
Ford hasn’t announced pricing for the new Everest as yet, although using the recently-released information for its Ranger sibling as a guide, we can expect increases of more than $1000 compared to the outgoing model.

Engine and drivetrain
Carrying across from the outgoing Everest is Ford’s 2.0-litre, bi-turbo diesel four-cylinder engine, with its power cut by 3kW to 154kW at 3750rpm, while torque remains unchanged at 500Nm between 1750 and 2000rpm.
New to the Everest is a V6, with the 3.0-litre, single-turbo diesel powerplant pushing out 184kW at 3250rpm and 600Nm between 1750 to 2250rpm – a jump of 41kW and 130Nm over the old 3.2-litre five-cylinder diesel.
While a 10-speed torque converter automatic transmission is standard across the range, the entry-level Ambiente and Trend variants can be ordered with 4×2 or full-time 4×4, as all V6-powered models are 4×4 as standard.
