German luxury carmaker Audi has launched its flagship A8L sedan in India. Prices for the 2022 Audi A8L start at Rs 1.29 Crore.
2022 Audi A8L Variants & Price List
The facelifted Audi A8 is only offered in L (long-wheelbase) guise for the Indian Market. Audi allows customers to choose between two trim levels of the A8L for the Indian market – Celebration and Technology. The 2022 Audi A8L Celebration is priced at Rs 1.29 crore. The Audi A8L Technology trim level bumps the price up to Rs 1.57 crore.

Audi A8L Design & Features
The facelifted 2022 Audi A8L brings a few design tweaks that help differentiate the new version of the luxury sedan from its predecessor. These changes can be seen at the front in the form of the larger grille sporting quite a bit of chrome garnishing and also in the form of the new angular air intakes and the chrome surround for the fog lamp section that sits next to them.
The Celebration trim level sports Matrix LED headlights while the Technology variant upgrades these to Digital Matrix LED units that sport a host of micro mirrors which help ensure better visibility while also ensuring that drivers coming from the opposite side are not blinded.
The new 2022 Audi A8L rides on new 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels as standard along with air suspension. Technology variant owners can upgrade the suspension system to predictive air suspension setup that uses the front camera to scan the road ahead for bumps and ruts. The air suspension setup can raise and lower the ride height of the flagship Audi sedan by up to 50mm. The A8L Technology can also be fitted with all-wheel steering.
The interiors of the Audi A8L remain mostly unchanged. However, the A8L is now offered in 5-seater guise as standard with Technology trim level owners able to upgrade to 4-seater version with a split rear cabin sporting two individual seats.
Audi A8L Engine Specs & Performance
The Audi A8L continues to be powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine that features mild hybrid tech. The V6 petrol powerplant produces 335bhp at 5,000rpm and 500Nm of peak torque at just 1,370rpm.
The engine sends power to all four wheels via an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox and Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system. The 2022 Audi A8L will sprint from 0-100km/h in just 5.7 seconds and can hit a top speed of 250km/h.
