It may not have broad appeal, but the work has been carried out exceptionally well.
The Audi R8 is arguably one of the best-looking supercars of the 21st century, but taste is subjective, and one owner has decided to reference the supercar's Lamborghini relation with a wild body kit.
Wearing a kit designed by Malaysian outlet Puzzle Bodykits, this German performance vehicle has been transformed into a one-of-a-kind creation, retaining only its original roof, headlights, doors, and side mirrors, with the rest of the bodywork being custom-made.
The front end boasts prominent air intakes, an oversized front splitter, and muscular arches replete with fender vents. Overall, the front fascia resembles a current generation R8 that's been outfitted for GT3 racing. Massive side skirts dominate the side profile, which is missing the signature side blades over the side air intakes.

Large diameter white-painted wheels from HRE draw attention to yellow brake calipers. Together with the bright pink paint, the effect is downright shocking. But the color scheme is nothing compared to the rear of the vehicle, which is clearly inspired by the wild aero of Lambos like the Aventador SVJ and Huracan STO.
Take the oversized diffuser, for example. It looks as if Puzzle Bodykits lifted this component straight off the incredibly rare Centenario. The Lambo-inspired design doesn't end there, though. The taillights resemble the clusters from the Murcielago, while the fixed rear spoiler wouldn't look out of place on a Gallardo Superleggera.
Lastly, the exhaust pipes have been repositioned and now jut out of the rear fascia as on a Huracan. To finish everything off, a pattern seemingly based on Lamborghini's Ypsilon motif has been applied to the front and rear fenders, while the car has been lowered for a more aggressive look.

There's no mention of any performance upgrades, but even the base R8 produces 562 horsepower from its 5.2-liter V10. More importantly, we suspect the owner is more interested in catching gazes at low speeds.
It may not be to everyone's taste, but there's no denying this custom R8 has been built to high standards, and it's definitely not the worst custom R8 we've ever seen; that title belongs to a rather troubling LaFerrari tribute.
With the R8 heading towards retirement, both generations are sure to increase in value and become more collectible than before. We're guessing this particular example won't be on the radar of any serious collectors, though, given its distinctive looks.
