- 6 extras you should fit to a new BMW X1
BMW recently launched an all-new X1 to the local market, and we have spent some time on its configurator and four 6 options that will enhance your X1.
There’s a new BMW X1 on sale locally, and the model range consists of four variants, with the option of either a turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine or a four-cylinder turbodiesel. Once you have decided which variant and engine to go for, here are 6 options that we feel will make your X1 better. Remember that BMW products
1. The M Sport Package- from R 793 045
The M Sport package adds updated interior and exterior accents aimed at making the X1 sportier, while the slightly lower and firmer ride will enhance its handling prowess, even if slightly.
2. Equipment Package- R24 500
The equipment package adds Adaptive LED Headlights, Comfort Access, interior and exterior mirror package instrument panel, a wireless charging tray, heated steering wheel preparation, driver/front passenger seat heating preparation and Driving Assistant Plus preparation.
3.Portimao Blue Metallic
In addition to being named after an iconic racing circuit, this particular shade of blue suits the latest X1 in M Sport guise perfectly!
4. 20-inch M Lt/Aly wheels Multi-spoke style 869- R24 000
The 20-inch alloy wheels enhance the looks of the X1 and appear to fill the arches of the softroader better than the other options.
5. Hi-fi Loudspeaker System Harman/Kardon-R10 000
The twelve-speaker and 7-channel amplifier Harman/Kardon sound system will be a welcome audio upgrade in X1 variants.
6. Trailer tow hitch, fully electrically operated- R16 500
With a braked towing capacity between 1 700 and 1 800kg, a tow bar will prove a valuable addition to an X1, particularly this BMW-approved version that will not affect the warranty or maintenance plan.
