Hoonigan says "Electrikhana" will be the best film yet in the Gymkhana series.
Ken Block’s Gymkhana series is one of the most exciting things on the internet. There’s a new one coming, complete with a new, all-electric star car and an all-new location: Las Vegas.
Hoonigan released a teaser video on Tuesday for “Electrikhana,” the latest installment into the incredible Gymkhana series. For the first time ever, the star car won’t be a Subaru or a Ford. It’ll be an Audi. Specifically, it’ll be the S1 Hoonitron, a one-off custom-built prototype designed specifically for Block. It’s an all-electric coupe with a ridiculous aero setup and an 800-volt AWD drivetrain making over 1400 horsepower.
Though the video is short, we’re still greeted with plenty of action, including gigantic slides along the Vegas strip, an Audi race car cameo, and even a jump. Oh, and just because the Hoonitron is electric doesn’t mean we won’t hear any noise. Going by the sounds in this teaser video, there will be enough electric motor whine for everyone watching.
Electrikhana is set to premiere on the Hoonigan YouTube channel on October 25 at 9 a.m. eastern. Don’t miss it.
