The Ferrari Daytona SP3 was made privy to the public as of November last year when the newcomer was announced to fit into the Icona family so we are just as confused as you as to why the model is adorned in whacky camo.

Spy images provided by Walter Vayr show the retro styled Ferrari boasting some whacky camo in the shades of yellow, black and blue. We are not exactly sure why it is being concealed as it is but our assumption would have it that the model has received some eleventh hour aerodynamic changes or bespoke updates have been implemented to the car before it heads off to its new owner. This is of course all speculation but based on the fact that the lower bumper lip seems unfinished and other aerodynamic components are copiously covered with tape means that Ferrari are ironing out some kinks on the seductively styled model.

Either way, based on the lingering brake dust on the silver rims, the Ferrari Daytona SP3 here seems to have been put through its paces although it still seems mostly unchanged from its original unveiling in November last year when it was introduced as the third member of the Icona family, joining the tantalisingly cool Monza SP1 and SP2 models from 2018. The series intends to mix the traditional styling of the illustrious race cars from yesteryear while modern technology adds an additional futuristic twist.

When not covered in whacky camo, the swan song of the Ferrari Daytona SP3 takes centre stage. Powered by a V12 engine that puts out a whopping 617 kW and 697 N.m, the retro styled hypercar is capable of hitting 100 km/h from standstill in just 2.86 seconds. More ludicrous numbers include its price tag which sees the limited run creation from Maranello come in at a cool €2 million. V12 power doesn’t come cheap these days, or did it ever?
