Beefy 390kW 6.2-litre V8-powered VEII Holden Ute will be given away in less than a month
GM Holden Aftersales and ACDelco first announced their intention to give away a fully restored and uniquely-tuned 2010 Holden VE Series II SS-V Redline Ute back in October 2020.
But that was before Australia’s used car market hit record heights and homegrown V8 muscle cars fetched gob-smacking prices at auction. So with less than a month to run for the unique promotion, there’s even more reason to be in it.
Just last month an ex-Peter Brock VK Commodore SS Group A set a new auction price record for a Holden production car and in February a 1971 Ford Falcon GTHO Phase II set a new record of $1.15 million for an Australian road car.

Now, GM Holden Aftersales and ACDelco are reminding us that all you need to do to win a highly prized piece of Australian muscle car history is to have their Holden serviced at a Holden Certified Service outlet by the end of this month.
GM Trade Club customers can also enter the competition by purchasing a minimum of 20 litres of ACDelco Oil from their GM Trade Parts Dealer during the promotional.
Apart from celebrating 70 years of Holden utes, the promotion is designed to highlight GM Aftersales’ commitment to Holden owners more than three years after Australia’s once-favourite brand was axed by General Motors in 2017.

There are more than 1.6 million Holden vehicles still on the road today, and many continue to be serviced at the 200-plus authorised Holden Certified Service outlets across Australia, and more than 50 in New Zealand.
The Holden TribUTE is a muscled-up VEII SS-V Ute that has been modified to deliver significantly improved performance and driving dynamics using Holden Genuine and ACDelco Parts.
The headline mod is the installation of a naturally-aspirated Chevrolet Performance LS3 6.2-litre V8 pumping out 390kW, matched to a T56 Super Magnum heavy-duty six-speed manual transmission.

The TribUTE also gets track-tuned GM FE3 suspension along with bigger, staggered 20-inch alloy wheels and cross-drilled Brembo brakes front and rear.
With a body finessed through the Holden Certified Collision Repair program, GM Aftersales says it is a stunning example of the popular VE SS Ute, as well as a fitting celebration of a Holden body style first introduced in 1951 but now no longer available in a market that’s dominated by imported dual-cab 4×4 diesel utes.
What’s more, seven-times Bathurst 1000 winner and three-times Aussie Supercars champion Craig Lowndes will personally hand over the keys of the TribUTE to the lucky winner.

“There’s so much interest from motoring enthusiasts regarding iconic vehicles, and the TribUTE absolutely fits the bill,” said Lowndes.
“Preserving and upgrading these legendary models with genuine parts is definitely the way to go.
“The TribUTE is going to be a fabulous prize for the lucky winner,” said Lowndes.
Entries for the TribUTE competition close on June 30 and you can view the terms and conditions here.
