Hyundai’s expanding Genesis standalone luxury division has taken the innovative step in opening a boutique dealership in one of Canada’s largest shopping malls.
Located in the luxury area on the second floor of Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga, the 4,010 sq. ft. Genesis Mississauga showroom is touted as offering, “a new way to experience the brand.”
It includes space for four vehicles along with a customer lounge, colour and material sample area, refreshment area, and staff offices.
Customers will be invited to book a test drive either online or at the showroom which includes a product demonstration at home if desired.
Heading it up is Nav Bhatia, distributor principal, Genesis Mississauga who spoke at the recent opening saying, “The new Genesis Mississauga showroom is another important touch-point for the Genesis brand here in Peel region.
“Our team now has another way to interact with new customers and educate them about the incredible Genesis experience.”
Echoing his statement was, Michael Ricciuto, brand director of Genesis Motors Canada, who noted, ““This new boutique reinforces Genesis’ commitment to creating a truly unprecedented purchase and ownership experience focused on the customer.
“We’re thrilled to expand our physical footprint through our luxury boutique spaces in urban centres.”
The Square One location incorporates the news global dealership look developed in collaboration with the Dutch office of Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) which is led by world-renowned architect Rem Koolhaas.
It is minimalist in design using elements like large light boxes in the ceiling that combine to make the vehicles on the floor the main focal points.
The design was first seen near the end of 2017 with “Genesis Gangnam”, the brand’s first corporate-owned standalone showroom located in Seoul, Korea.
Genesis Mississauga is joining an expanding network of other boutiques in high-traffic retail settings that appeals to Canadian consumers.
Ricciuto noted the transparent set pricing and all-inclusion buying experience that makes owing a Genesis stress-free.
Genesis said it plans to have 20 stand-alone facilities by the end of the decade.
