2022 Aston Martin V12 Vantage: what is it?
The old Aston Martin V12 Vantage proved to be one of the best Aston Martins of the modern era. Its compact body swelled to house a glorious V12 engine that gave it so much character. Now it would appear there’s a new car in the works.
These spy shots show a new Vantage with a widened body and some additional cooling vents on its bonnet. To us, that means only one thing… A new V12 Vantage.
2022 Aston Martin V12 Vantage: what is it powered by?
The clue is in the title, however, being less pedantic, this will be a different V12 engine to the last. Expect to find Aston’s new twin-turbocharged 5.2-litre V12 under the hood, potentially producing close to 700bhp.
As much as we’d love a manual option, this drivetrain will likely feature a seven-speed auto that sends drive to the rear wheels exclusively.
2022 Aston Martin V12 Vantage: when will it be on sale?
Aston Martin is on a bit of an assault when it comes to reveals at the moment. It’s entirely possible that we’ll see the new V12 Vantage before the end of this year. Customers will likely get the keys to this exciting new model in 2022.
2022 Aston Martin V12 Vantage: how much will it cost?
The Aston Martin V12 Vantage will be a small car, but just like its engine, the price will likely be sizeable. Considering the current price of a V8 Vantage and how much a V12 DB11 costs, we’d estimate an asking price of around £170,000.
