Upcoming 2022 Aston Martin DBX S: what is it?
It was an inevitability that the Aston Martin DBX was going to get a hotter variant at some point, just as its sporting and GT counterparts have done over the years. It’s not much of a push to imagine this model adopting the S nameplate.
Expect more power, reworked suspension, bigger brakes, a more athletic bodykit, and some sporty upholstery.
2022 Aston Martin DBX S: what is it powered by?
Now, this is the big question… Will this be an S model that builds upon the existing twin-turbocharged AMG V8 already at the DBX’s disposal, or will it incorporate the British marque’s signature V12?
Currently, the car produces 452bhp, so expect that to rise considerably. If it ends up with a V8 that figure could rest at just over 500bhp, but a V12 might push things closer to 700bhp.
2022 Aston Martin DBX S: when will it be on sale?
We anticipate an early 2022 reveal for this DBX with Aston Martin wanting to bolster the range of its most successful model. Order books will likely open soon after with customer cars hitting the road partway through next year.
2022 Aston Martin DBX S: how much will it cost?
At the moment there’s no official word on pricing, the car still doesn’t officially exist after all, but we can take an educated guess. Should the DBX S host the AMG V8 £185,000 sounds about right, but if it’s afforded the full 12-cylinder treatment that price tag will push closer to £200,000.
