You're spoilt for choice when it comes to colours for your new Hilux. Check out which colour will suit your new Toyota bakkie the best.
So, you’ve made the wise decision to buy a Toyota Hilux, but now you’re faced with the hardest choice of all: which colour to pick? (We sure hope it isn’t boring old white.)
The good news is that whether you select a more affordable entry-level model or a Hilux in top-spec Legend guise, the colour choices are the same.
We selected the Hilux 2.8 GD6 double-cab 4×4 Legend MT, from R863 400, for the purpose of this exercise.
Here are the colour choices for the Hilux:
Glacier White may be a little boring for some, but it works very well, and white is SA’s most popular colour for cars, which guarantees its future value.
Pearl White is slightly more interesting and shows off the Hilux’s curves nicely. A winner in our books.
Chromium Silver imparts a futuristic look, and it’s another popular colour with prospective buyers when your car is pre-loved.
Graphite Grey Metallic makes the Hilux look stealthy and sleek. One of my personal favourites!
A more interesting option than the usual colour scheme, Cosmic Blue will certainly stand out in a sea of white bakkies.
Arizona Red is quite an unusual colour choice for a bakkie, but it works well nonetheless.
Oxide Bronze is another one of my personal favourite colour choices. It suits the Hilux’s streamlined shape perfectly.
Sand Beige is classic Toyota. It’s quite retro and yet manages to look fresh and fashionable on the new Hilux. Please note: Since this article was first published in 2021, some colours have fallen away, like Sand Beige.
