Mzanzi motorists wishing to pick up the new Toyota Vitz X-Cite will need to earn at least R22,000 per month, according to a calculation by TopAuto.
The X-Cite is a colourful new version of the entry-level hatch, intended to give it more flair out on the road for those who’d like to show off their new set of wheels.
Visual changes include numerous orange highlights on areas like the rear spoiler, side mirrors, side mouldings, and around the front fog lights, as well as interior components like the air vents, gearstick base, and parts of the doors.
These splashes of colour are complemented by black wheel arch mouldings, front and rear bumpers, and side skirts, and X-Cite decals can be found on the doors.

Getting the higher-spec X-Cite XR will then add alloy rims, remote central locking, all-round electric windows, a digital tachometer, a USB port, a multifunction steering wheel, two more speakers, and a 7-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to the list.
As for the engine, you can still expect a 1.0-litre petrol engine with 49kW and 89Nm, which is exclusively paired to a five-speed manual gearbox, meaning fuel consumption works out to 4.4l/100km.
