According to a recall notice issued by the NHTSA, the front and rear upper control arm screw connections on the rear axle may not have been tightened correctly on a small number of Taycans.
The NHTSA says a loose screw connection “might cause movement of respective suspension component beyond its intended position.” If the screw becomes loose, it could affect the car’s stability and increase the risk of a crash. Thankfully, the recall only affects 35 Taycans built between June 17, 2020, and November 16, 2020. Porsche first became aware that certain screw connections on the upper control arms on the rear axle may not have been installed correctly in certain Taycans.
