The ‘P’ plate Jazz was fortunate to have avoided collision with an oncoming taxi after crashing into the highway road divider
SINGAPORE
A video posted to YouTube showed a Honda Jazz flipping twice after being hit by a truck on February 18, 2023.
The police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) were notified of the collision on the Pan-Island Expressway approaching Changi Airport, before the Stevens Road exit, around 12:20 pm.
According to the police, a 24-year-old female driver is being investigated for reckless driving causing hurt. Two male passengers, aged 28 and 21, and two female passengers, aged 46 and 22, were also conscious when they were taken to the hospital with her.
The red Honda can be seen in the video travelling in the left lane behind a truck before swerving into the right lane and hitting the highway road divider before barely missing a taxi. According to the video’s description, the car apparently clipped the truck before crashing. According to a photo posted online, the collision produced a traffic bottleneck, as at least three lanes were cordoned off after the disaster.
Police investigations are ongoing.
