One of Australia’s favourite big things just got a little more expensive – not the Big Banana – with the price of the Nissan Patrol large SUV nudging up towards the $100,000 mark.
Two variants of the Patrol are on sale in Australia, with the entry Ti now priced from $84,900 before on-road costs, up by $2740 over its previous pricing.
Pricing for the higher-spec Ti-L now kicks off from $97,600 (+$2485), nudging the six-figure mark at an MSRP and certainly exceeding it once on-road costs are accounted for.
The rival to the Toyota LandCruiser – the much newer LC300 generation Toyota outsells the Patrol comfortably – has been on sale in its current generation for about 13 years, having most recently been significantly updated in 2019.
Its engine and drivetrain is the same between both variants, a 5.6-litre petrol V8 making 298kW and 560Nm, paired to a seven-speed automatic transmission and an off-road-focused 4X4 system.
Currently, the next-gen Y63 Patrol is under development, expected to be revealed sometime in the next 12 months.

“The V8-powered Nissan Patrol continues to soar in popularity, with year-to-date sales in 2023 proving the best on record since launch.
“Many challenges facing the industry globally, including the rising costs of raw materials and shipping have had a knock-on effect on vehicle pricing, however Nissan is working hard to ensure that we continue to offer the best value proposition for our customers.”
