Porsche early November revealed a new variant for its 718 Boxster and Cayman models called, straightforward-ly, the Style Edition. Exclusive to the trim is a new Ruby Star Neo paint, which mimics the Ruby Star shade worn by the legendary Porsche 911 Carrera RS of the 964 generation. Beyond paint, the Style Edition models add a host of fashionable details to Boxster and Cayman, like black 20-inch Boxster Spyder wheels with colourful Porsche crests, and black-sport tailpipes.
Inside, 718s in the Style Edition trim boast a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, floor mats with chalk stitching, and headrests with Porsche crests stamped in them. Customers can also choose between two 718 Style Edition packages at no extra charge — white and black — that colour the outside stripes, lettering, and wheels in one or the other shade, the automaker said in a release. Bridging the interior and exterior enhancements are illuminated door sills.
Porsche has yet to reveal the cost of the Style Edition, but you can expect those details to come out in 2023 ahead of the cars’ availability in Canada.
