TechArt is known for its brilliant modifications and tuning of all the vehicles in Porsche’s range. However, it is best known for its outrageously powerful version of the 911 Turbo models. These models, that are dubbed the TechArt GTstreet R take the 911 Turbo and dial the madness up to 11.
The current 911 Turbo S’s 3.8-litre twin-turbo engine gets heavily worked over in the GTstreet R so that it produces 700bhp and 900Nm of torque which is 59bhp and 100Nm more than what Porsche’s most powerful 911 produces. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed PDK automatic gearbox.
TechArt offers a more powerful version of the engine which can be accessed by pressing a button. This TA092/T2.1 TechArt power upgrade increases the output of the GTstreet R to 788.5bhp and 950Nm of peak torque allowing this mental sports car to reach a top speed of 350km/h.
TechArt also makes more mechanical modifications to the GTstreet R in the form of lowering kits that lower the sports car by up to 25mm while also widening the front track by 30mm.
Also new are the forged alloy wheels in 20 and 21-inch sizes which can be fitted with TechArt’s carbon-fibre aero discs for beeter aerodynamic performance. The wheels are shod with 265/35 ZR20 (front) and 325/30 ZR21 (rear) Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres for maximum performance on track days and the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S for everyday use.
TechArt also fits GTstreet R with its own bespoke exhaust system for a better aural experience. This custom exhaust system is a hand welded two pipe valved system is made from stainless steel.
