McLaren Automotive is celebrating its 10th anniversary selling cars in Canada, and to mark the occasion, Pfaff Reserve, the carmaker’s Canadian distributor, has placed an order for an exclusive run of 720S supercars, a special edition appropriately named the “Canada 10th Anniversary MSO 1/10.”
As the name implies, just ten examples will be made, split between three Coupes and seven Spider models, and all wearing the magic touch of McLaren’s Special Operations (MSO) division. Only one paint scheme is available — an MSO Bespoke livery that combines Pure Black with a Stealth wheel finish. It’s a nod to the first McLaren sold in Canada by McLaren Toronto, a 2012 MP4-12C.
Other special touches include the McLaren Orange paint on the air intakes, rear diffuser, brake calipers; and a custom-painted stripe with an inset maple leaf graphic. The orange colour is also visible on the underside of the wing, accented with a black stripe and another maple leaf graphic.

These orange design elements reference the brand’s early racing history in Canada, which includes Can-Am wins in 1967 and 1969 through ’72, as well as Formula One wins in 1968 and 1973.
The interior of the special-edition McLaren is fully equipped with an electric steering column, electric heated and memory seats, carbon-fibre interior components, and a premium Bowers & Wilkins sound system. The MSO theme continues into the cabin with bespoke contrast stitching for the seats, MSO logos on the head restraints, and a special MSO dedication plaque.
There is no mention of powertrain upgrades for the Canada 10th Anniversary MSO 1/10 720 supercars. However, the 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 in the stock cars is still pretty potent, able to propel the 720S to 96 km/h from zero in 2.9 seconds, and on to a top speed of 340 km/h (211 mph).
The cars “celebrate the legacy of McLaren in Canada,” says Christopher Pfaff, President & CEO of Pfaff Automotive Partners. Now, ten discerning customers will get to share a special part of that legacy with these commemorative supercars and a Canadian McLaren heritage hardcover book, chronicling the brand’s history here. The cars will be available to order from Canada’s three McLaren dealerships in Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal.
