Swiss driver and double FIA Formula 3 podium finisher Gregoire Saucy will drive for United Autosports as they pursue their maiden LMGT3 campaign in a McLaren 720S GT3 EVO.
The 23-year-old will make his sportscar racing debut in the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship season with United Autosports, along with European Le Mans Series LMP2 Pro Vice-Champion Marino Sato.
Having made his name in the single-seater discipline since he was 16, he will take on a world championship pursuit including his first ever 24-hour race at Le Mans on June 15-16, in addition to other circuit venues which he will visit for the first time.
He said: “I am so excited to join McLaren and United Autosports; making my debut in the FIA World Endurance Championship and taking on the challenge of the McLaren 720S GT3 EVO.
He spoke about his anticipation for Le Mans and the other races on the calendar.
“It has to be my first experience at the 24 Hours of Le Mans … it’s such a special race.
“I’m also looking forward to discovering the other tracks which are new to me like Qatar, São Paulo, COTA and Fuji.
“I love arriving at new tracks and working them out.”

“He has been very impressive and is a proven winner in some of the toughest championships in Europe.
“This is a big move for him to change from single seaters to sportscar, but he has impressed the team with his focus and determination and it is clear he will do what it takes to be successful in the WEC.”
Saucy has proven himself a capable driver in single-seaters, most signified when he dominated the Formula Regional European championship to take the title in 2021.
During the course of 2022 and 2023, he competed for ART Grand Prix having claimed a pair of podium finishes, one in each year.
LMGT3 will be the new class of the WEC, replacing the former GTE formula, and introducing a competitive field of teams willing to take on the new chapter for the world championship.
After much experience in the LMP2 class, United Autosports are continuing their WEC journey with a new step utilising the McLaren GT3 package for the first time.
The 2024 season is set to commence on 2 March, with the opening round in Qatar.
