An upgraded stereo and new exterior design elements are among some of the changes that will be ushered in for the 2023 model year
Nissan Australia has announced a series of minor upgrades for its Juke model, with the updated Japanese-built small SUV set to arrive early in 2023.
The changes have seen a small price increase of between $400 and $500 across the range, with the entry price of Nissan’s more affordable vehicle jumping to $28,390 before on-road costs.
Nissan has updated the Juke with styling tweaks including new 17-inch wheels on the entry-level grades
Sitting in the fast-growing small SUV segment, the Juke competes against the likes of the Toyota C-HR and Skoda Kamiq, and is offered in a choice of six grades including the ST, ST+, ST-L, ST-L+, Ti and Ti Energy Orange grades.
What’s changed for the Juke for 2023?
Nissan Australia has slightly updated the exterior design of the Juke with updated Nissan badging and styling cues to hone aerodynamics.
Buyers also benefit from a new Ceramic Grey and Magnetic Blue shades, though the latter comes at the expense of the Vivid Blue option.
An 8.0-inch touchscreen is included as standard across the range
A new 17-inch alloy wheel design has been introduced for the ST and ST+ grades, while ST-L grades net new leather-accented seats with the white stitching contrasting with the new black styling elements dotted around the cabin.
The ST-L, ST-L+ and Ti grades have also benefited from a proximity entry/exit key, with the latter pair also receiving an updated 10-speaker Bose sound system with two additional speakers now implanted in the rear.
What does each grade of the Juke include?
The entry-level Juke ST is fitted with a long list of standard features including cloth seats, a six-way manual adjustable driver’s seat, an 8.0-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that plays through a four-speaker stereo.
Other features include auto-folding and heated mirrors, a 4.2-inch information screen housed in the instrument cluster, LED headlights and paddle shifters.
The ST-L grade and above gain an updated Bose sound system
All Jukes have been given a five-star safety rating from ANCAP, with the ST grade fitted with several driver assistance features including rear parking sensors, forwards AEB with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert and blind spot monitoring.
Stepping up to the ST+ grade nets LED fog lights, automatic air conditioning, heated front seats, in-built satellite navigation, DAB digital radio and front parking sensors.
The ST-L grade adds quite a bit more to the fray, including a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, leather upholstery throughout much of the cabin, a six-speaker sound system, adaptive cruise control and a 360-degree camera.
Nissan also adds convenience features like six-way power adjustment for the front passenger, USB ports in the back seats, rain-sensing wipers and an electric park brake.
The top-spec Ti grades net larger 19-inch wheels
The ST-L+ grade is the first to gain the updated 10-speaker Bose sound system, along with upholstery dressed in a combination of contrasting black and white cloth/leather combination material as well as a knee pad on the centre tunnel for extra comfort.
Buyers opting for the flagship Ti grades net 19-inch alloy wheels, tyre pressure monitoring, illuminated ‘Juke’ branded kick plates, quilted leather and alcantara-accented seats with additional alcantara adorned on the dashboard.
Nissan also offers the Ti grade in a special ‘Electric Orange’ option, which gets its name from the eccentric exterior and interior colouring.
