McLaren teams up with German artist to create one-off wrap for Artura supercar
McLaren has joined forces with German artist Cevin Parker to create a one-off wrap for the 2023 McLaren Artura supercar.
Parker, who is described as a contemporary self-taught abstract artist, says his special livery for the McLaren Artura represents a fusion of both art and future technology.
Streaks and splashes of pink, yellow and orange help accentuate the Artura’s lines, while at the front-end purple fades to blue then transitions to yellow towards the back of the car.
Berlin-based Parker’s signature style regularly incorporates bold, bright and vibrant colours and he’s become well-known for being able to capture the feeling of a distinct moment, describing himself as an “emotional artist”.
“I am truly thrilled on having the opportunity to work together with McLaren and to bring two of my biggest passions together: art and supercars,” said Parker.
“I am excited to see the public’s reaction to this project.”
This isn’t the first time the British supercar-maker has unwrapped an art car based on the McLaren Artura.
In 2022, McLaren teamed up with British artist Nat Bowen, who created the multi-coloured creation for an arts festival held in Dubai.
Based around McLaren’s all-new MCLA carbon-fibre platform, the rear-wheel drive McLaren Artura combines a 3.0-litre twin-turbo petrol V6 with an electric motor to develop 500kW of power and 720Nm of torque via an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Among the dazzling performance figures for McLaren’s first series-production high-performance hybrid (HPH) supercar, the Artura has a claimed 0-100kmh acceleration time of just 3.0 seconds.

It can also reach 0-200km/h in only 8.3sec, 0-300km/h in 21.5sec and has a 330km/h top speed.
Landing in Australia last year, the Artura is priced from $449,000 plus on-road costs.
The new McLaren and Cevin Parker collaboration, meanwhile, is about to embark on a world tour, with the Artura art car set to be first displayed in various Berlin locations before being shown at art fairs including Nit D’Arte in Palma des Mallorca and the ART Basel Miami in the US.
