2021 Porsche 911 GT3 Touring design
The new Porsche 911 GT3 is more closely related to its motorsport counterpart than ever before, something evident by its boisterous new bodywork. However, if you want GT3 performance without drawing too much attention, the GT3 Touring is for you.
Gone is the huge rear wing and front splitter, as to are the other aggressive aero elements. This Touring package keeps that muscular stance but massages a more mature and civilised look into the mix. That said, the Touring does retain the GT3’s bonnet nostrils. Aluminium trim and a subtle deployable spoiler highlights this car as a more premium affair.

Things have been toned down on the inside as well, with darker material choices promoting a more grown-up atmosphere. You still get a set of highly bolstered seats, but they are surrounded by the brushed aluminium and leathers that make up the rest of this cabin.
A large 10.9-inch infotainment screen provides all of your media and navigation needs, with the system also compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Those really into their music while grand touring also have the option of upgrading to a premium sound system.
New 911 GT3 Touring owners are also offered the opportunity to buy a matching chronograph watch to compliment their new car.
2021 Porsche 911 GT3 Touring practicality and boot space
The beauty of a Porsche 911 having its flat-six engine mounted in its rump is the packaging. It’s arguable one of the most practical sports cars out there, and the GT3 Touring continues this. A 132-litre cargo space in the nose is enough for a couple of small soft bags, but the huge storage space behind the front seats – where the rear seats used to be – is ideal for bulkier items.
There are a handful of handy storage compartments dotted about for things like phones, and deployable cup holders in the dashboard are always a welcome companion.

The good news is that those wanting these subtle Touring looks need not sacrifice performance. This car utilises the very same naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six engine as the GT3, meaning 503bhp is yours to play with. Its 0-62mph sprint remains 3.4 seconds, however, the Touring is 1mph faster at 199mph thanks to less drag.
Purists rejoice as the GT3 Touring can be had with a six-speed manual gearbox. For those who would rather an auto, Porsche’s excellent PDK is also offered.
2021 Porsche 911 GT3 Touring prices and on-sale date
The Touring package is effectively a non-cost option for the Porsche 911 GT3, meaning that a wingless car will cost you exactly the same as its more track-focused counterpart. It’s certainly not a bad way to spend £127,820.
You can order a Porsche 911 GT3 Touring right now, with deliveries commencing later this year.
